A Message from our Executive Director:
The entire entertainment industry has been crippled by the COVID-19 outbreak. The current state of emergency and mandate from Governor Northam is impacting upcoming events at The Lincoln as well. The health and safety of our patrons and staff is always our number one priority so we are taking the necessary steps to prevent possible further spread of the virus. The Lincoln Theatre has made the decision to cancel all performances and events through December 31, 2020. As that time approaches, we will evaluate the situation and determine if further cancellations and postponements will need to be made. Our box office phones will remain open to address questions from current ticket holders. Inquiries may also be made to firstname.lastname@example.org As we are a charitable organization, I’m asking that ticket holders please consider donating the amount of their purchase to the theatre so that we don’t have to face additional austerity measures. Otherwise, we’re also issuing gift cards to be used for future performances and events. Our hope is that these extreme measures will minimize the impact of the virus and help us return to normal sooner rather than later, however, we are committed to keeping everyone safe and well during this crisis. The Lincoln is the epicenter of arts and tourism for Marion, a responsibility we do not take lightly. We will continue to work closely with local business and municipal leaders to take necessary precautions to keep everyone safe, but also to minimize the impact on our local economy. If I know anything for sure about our community, it is that we are resilient! We will continue to provide updates on changes to our season as they come available. Please refer to our website and/or social media for news and updates from The Lincoln. Stay safe and be well.
COVID-19 RELIEF FUND
During this uncertain time, the arts are facing a crisis of unprecedented proportions. The Lincoln Theatre has already begun the necessary austerity measures to endure a potential long-term shutdown. But ticket sales and rental fees make up a significant portion of our income and we still face the overhead costs of keeping our historic facility operational. We are dedicated to keeping our community safe but also committed to being a driving force in rebuilding our local economy and continuing our mission at the conclusion of this crisis. In the meantime, we need your help! We have created this COVID-19 Relief Fund to help us survive the loss of income and decline in attendance. Until we are able to resume normal operations, stay safe and be well. Thank you for supporting The Lincoln Theatre!
