Originally from Chicago, Katelin Aanerud studied journalism and film at Illinois State University. She moved to Marion in 2022 to aid The Lincoln Theatre in getting back to its roots as a Movie Palace. She hosts the monthly programs Film Freaks and Golden Oldies where she brings free film education to Southwest Virginia. You can also find her in Lola's At The Lincoln working on displays, giving tours, and making popcorn on show nights! They love to talk about movies and you can even try their challenge to win a Lincoln Theatre button. She also enjoys talking about the history of the theatre and is more than happy to take anyone on a free tour!

365 Days of Film: Crime and Thriller

I have a goal this year of watching 365 movies and it’s time for week two. While I do have a pretty clear outline for what I’m watching this year and I did watch everything I had planned for this week…I ended the week with a total of 12 movies watched instead of 7. From worst to best, here is my weekly ranking roundup! Honorable Mentions: While I did watch 12 movies, two of those were rewatches so I will not be ranking them.
