About the Event

For the past 11 years, Letters From Home has been coming to Marion, Virginia for a free memorial day concert. Letters From Home infuses the classic style of the USO with a witty, modern edge. Featuring high-energy singing and tap dancing performances by founder Erinn Dearth and self-proclaimed "tall guy" Dan Beckmann. Funny and heartfelt, harmonic and uplifting,  Letters From Home will leave you feeling great about being human. They have performed over 1000 shows across the world, including singing at the 75th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy France, entertaining Battle of the Bulge veterans in Belgium, and completing their full 50-States Tour in 2023.

The late Mayor David Helms was a huge supporter of all of our veterans, active military and their families and always honored them on Memorial Day. This event lives on in his spirit.

We encourage all families to come from near and far to experience Letters From Home and to honor the fallen this Memorial Day weekend!
