WHAT IS POETRY OUT LOUD™?
Poetry Out Loud™ is a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering educational materials and a dynamic recitation competition for high school students across the country.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any high school-aged young adult!
WHERE?
The Lincoln Theatre hosts the regional competition!
POEM SELECTION
For the regional competition, participants will prepare one poem from the Poetry Out Loud™ anthology (found on The Lincoln Theatre's website).
STATE/NATIONAL COMPETITION
One competitor from the Poetry Out Loud™ regional competition will advance to the state competition. State champions will advance to the national finals in Washington, DC, where $50,000 in awards and school stipends will be distributed.
